Inspired by the authentic cuisines of Puglia and Rome, Morsetto brings together iconic flavors and timeless recipes. From warm focaccia and handcrafted panzerotti to the richness of a perfectly made carbonara, and from thin, crispy Roman-style pizza to dishes prepared a regola d’arte, every plate reflects authenticity, balance, and respect for tradition. Each bite is designed to surprise, comfort, and tell a story.
MORSETTO was born from the shared vision of Salvatore Latella and Francesco Curci. Salvatore, deeply passionate about Italian heritage, culture, and cuisine, has long been dedicated to sharing the true spirit of Italy beyond its borders. Francesco, a chef and creative force, brings his culinary expertise and artistic vision to life in the kitchen.
After the success of S. Egidio in Ridgewood and Apulia in Hoboken, where Francesco served as chef, creator, and partner, the two embarked on a new chapter. Together, they chose to transform the historic Ridgewood landmark Piccolo Bistrot into a place where Italian culinary culture could be celebrated and shared even more widely.
Today, MORSETTO stands as a tribute to Italian gastronomy, especially meaningful at a time when Italian cuisine has been recognized as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage. It is a space where tradition meets passion, where flavors speak honestly, and where the love for Italian food is not just tasted, but lived.
